 Balancing Time
Gaining control of your time is absolutely vital!

The key to reducing stress is to spend time on a variety of activities in different areas of your life. Allow time for work, play, rest, family friends and most importantly, yourself! Take time to set goals - short, medium and lifetime in the following categories:

Career - Family - Financial - Hobbies - Fitness - Health - Personal Improvement - Volunteering

Analyze what your time is being spent on now.  What are you missing out on?

Keep a diary for a week. It will give you interesting insights into how your time is being spent.

Start planning each day to live with balance.

Anticipate stressful times or situations and think how you can ease the load.

Do one task at a time ...well.  Focusing can be a stress reducer and performance increaser.

Check out, occasionally.   Stretch breaks, a walk in the park, or having a nap will refresh.

Take a deep breath!  Even a sigh or a yawn has a positive benefit.

Get off the treadmill of life!  Pause, reflect, re-energize, regroup, re-organize. Carry on!

Cluster responding - Most phones, e-mails, pagers, your BlackBerry etc. hold messages for a reason!  If your message volume is too high, then you need an assistant to sort/screen!

Train yourself and others to be efficient in communication and living.

Imagine you only had six months to live - how would that change your priorities?

Enjoy a long non-working lunch or dinner. 

Take time to laugh and play.  Intense performance always needs to be counter balanced.
